Radius external elbow; base with cover. BaseTrak is a three channel nonmetallic raceway that provides wire and cable management for multiple or large services. Power and low voltage cabling can be combined in the same raceway because of integral barriers in the raceway. The neutral office white color will blend in with virtually any decor. There is a full complement of boxes and fittings to create a system for almost any application. Base, cover, and fittings snap together for easy assembly. BaseTrak raceway power and voice/data cabling capabilities can be significantly expanded with the use of category 5 compliant elbows and fittings. These fittings maintain a minimum 1-¼" cable bending radius at all corners along the raceway system. Each UL listed external, flat, and internal elbow includes a cover and a molded base, which maintain the raceway's three channel separation. The molded base also eliminates the need to miter cut the raceway at corners. The BaseTrak to WallTrak® 22 tee fitting does not have a molded base. It is used to transition from BaseTrak to WallTrak 22 raceway, while maintaining cable bend control of data cables. Three box styles provide capacity and appearance options. A unique 2-gang box allows the combination of power and low voltage wiring in the same box. Nonmetallic construction cuts and assembles easily, saving installation costs. |

| The nonmetallic surface raceway systems specified herein for branch
circuit wiring and/or data/voice/signal wiring shall be Hubbell BaseTrak manufactured by
Hubbell Wiring Device - Kellems® or approved equal. Work shall include furnishing all raceway, and appropriate fittings and boxes, to install a nonmetallic surface raceway system as indicated on the electrical drawings and described in this section. Installer shall comply fully with the manufacturer's instructions, and with electrical, safety, and building codes. The raceway shall be a two-piece design with a base and a snap-on cover. The base shall have three wiring channels separated by integral barriers. Barriers may be snapped out of the base to create one or two channels. Total width shall be 4.0" (101.6) by approximately 1.49" (37.7) deep. Base and cover shall be either 5 ft. (1.52m) or 10 ft. (3.05m) lengths. Walls shall be .08" (2.03) thick. Both base and cover are to be manufactured of rigid PVC compound. The base shall have a smooth texture, office white in color; the cover, a light pebble texture, office white in color. Raceway base and cover shall be designed as BT3BC5 or BT3BC10. A full complement of nonmetallic fittings must be available, including but not limited to 90° elbows, tees, conduit adapters, splice covers, end caps, and panel connectors. They shall be made of office white rigid PVC materials to match color and texture of raceway. Hubbell BT3 series. Device boxes shall include 2-gang raised device, 1-gang raised device, 1-gang inline device, and under carpet cable transition. They shall be made of office white rigid PVC materials to match color of raceway Hubbell BT3 series. Face plates shall be nonmetallic Hubbell "KP" series to match color of raceway and fit flush to device boxes. The raceway and all system components must be UL Listed and CSA Certified and exhibit nonflammable self-extinguishing characteristics tested to comparable specifications of UL 94V0. |
